People saying this is 'crap', what were they expecting? Shakespeare? It's a fantastic fun piece of light entertainment. Beautifully directed and very stylish. First rate sci fi fun at it's most accessible and enjoyable

Very watchable, classy no, but a good romp for a Saturday night - Didn't need a lot of cerebral exercising to watch

  • Style over substance

So this film is basically one action scene interspersed with token plot and 'character development' scenes. The style and sfx were very well done, however the film is the definition of style over substance.

I would only recommend this if you are a Mila Jovovich/vampire movie fanatic. Otherwise give it a wide berth.

Unwatchably bad. Unsympathetic main character, no atmosphere, comic book visual wash doesn't work, just makes everything look bland and whited out, pace all wrong, dull story. A real stinker, save yourself the trouble. If I could have I would have given it a zero.

  • Lacks Pace and Originality

    Rated - 2.0 stars

This film has nice lighting and photography. However, the pace of the story is painfully slow when Milla Jovovich is not kicking butt. It lacks originality, pulling ideas from V for Vendetta, Blade, Aeon Flux, Matrix, Underworld and Equilibrium:

    - Vampires. Blood. Check.

    - Dystopian future. Check.

    - Fascist government, Check.

    - Ninja-style fight sequences. Check.

    - Genetic manipulation hijinx. Check.

Its all been done before, and better. If you want to see a comic book adaptation, go for Sin City, V, 300 or Blade.

  • Not sure what to make of this one

    Very silly film, but fun.

Abysmal special effects and very cheesy script ran throughout this film.

The fight sequences were cool and fun, but were completely ridiculous - one person taking on multiple armed men faster and more effectively than Neo could in the Matrix - even though he had distorted reality to help him.

Definitely an aciton packed film, but rather slow in many places.

It was hard to feel empathy for anyone.

Mila looks really hot in this film, but her acting is very wooden.
