Not particularly good
By a customer from London, ENGLAND , 24 Apr 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
a reasonable reproduction but the performances aren't particularly warm. i saw this on the stage a year or two ago at the donmar warehouse and it blew me away. i have a faint memory that the BBC adaptation with Ian Holm was also vastly superior. doesn't appear to be on DVD yet though. This look dated and crudely done. doesn't really do the actors any justice. wait for the BBC version or - dare i say it - go to the theatre!- Was this review helpful to you?

(2)Quite dated
By a customer from Loughborough, Leicestershire , 08 Sep 2005I hadn't realised this was in black and white, the photo on the disk itself suggests otherwise. The film seems quite dated although the cast and acting is first rate.- Was this review helpful to you?
