The original Under Siege was a hugely entertaining affair, thanks mainly to the sheer scale of the destruction and its top-drawer cast of cartoon villains. This sequel sadly falls down in both departments. Basically, it's the same story but this time set on a train. Steven Seagal is a chef who finds himself up against another gang of international terrorists, led by the faintly ludicrous mad professor Eric Bogosian. New Zealand director Geoff Murphy gives it his all, but there is a second-hand feel to the increasingly outlandish action stunts.

    • Radio Times
  • Idiotic action film with a dull and doltish hero, enlivened by a few spectacular stunts; rather as vaudeville theatres used to end with a bad act in order to get audiences to leave quickly, Seagal sings a song he wrote himself over the final credits.

    Great!

A fantastic film, full of action and excitement throughout. An excellent and gripping story line keeping you watching. I must agree with the other reviewer about the train setting, a stroke of genius! A highly recommended film, Segal at his best!

    Seagal or Seagul? Part 2...

I thought the Train setting was a stroke of genious. Your thinking 'but theres only so many places on a train?'

    Your wrong!

I thought the 'Mad Baddie' was very well cast and not being a fan of Seagal I have to say he was pretty kick ass!

Good all round action film and the length detracts from the rating.

    Keep it real!
