Spawn star Michael Jai White takes over the role originated by Pulp Fiction heavyweight Ving Rhames in this sequel to the 2002 boxing drama that finds protagonist George Chambers forced to fight for his life in the brutal world of Russian prison boxing. Imprisoned in Russia and forced to rely on his street-fighting skills as a means of surviving, Chambers soon discovers that in the unforgiving Russian penitentiary it's one's willingness to break the rules - not play by them - that could mean the difference between life and death.

Rocky on steroids

Scott Adkins rocks. The fight scenes are brilliant and the story is better than expected. This director is really making a name for himself, what with his next movie featuring Scott Adkins again (John Woo had Chow Yun Fat, Isaac has Scott Adkins) and Jean Claude Van Damme.

Get this film out sit back, watch and enjoy. Great movie, Rocky with martial arts.

Not a bad martial arts film - only gripe is that it appears that the fight scenes had been slightly speeded up, but I may be wrong. An OK action popcorn film.

fine concept, not so great performance

i was hopping it would continue in the quality of the first one, but i must admit i was quite disappointed. it has it's moments, but not enough of them.

Scott Adkins..

Scott adkins really excels in his role as Boyka. Fantastic fight scenes and some of the flying kicks need to be seen to be believed. The fact that he overshadows Michael Jai White (who himself gives a decent performance) is testament to the pure athletisism and talent of Scott Adkins.

Quite a fan of his russian accent too :D

Good for the fighting, Acting a little sub par/Cheese

This is great for the fighting, especially if you like the fighting in films like District 13 and Kiss of the Dragon.

Scott Adkins is awesome in his fight scenes, and it looks like he will be in plenty more good fighting roles.
