Most helpful review
who are we!!
By fiona from yorkshire , 27 Sep 2007[Highly rated reviewer]
I havent seen a film like this before, i really enjoyed it.
5 men wake up in a warehouse in the middle of nowhere unsure of how they got there or worse still who they are. ( this is the only part that has that SAW feel ). Piece by piece the puzzle is put back together, 3 kidnappers and 2 hostagers. Whos who??
I liked the idea of the film and i was happy to let my older children watch it ( not much violence and no sex ) which sometimes spoils a good story. The pace was quick and it was interesting that we all tryed to work out who was who and that we all guessed different!!!!!!!- Was this review helpful to you?

(226)Unknown 2006
By Ricia (153 reviews) , 01 Jul 2012This was quite a different film from the usual thriller. It started off a bit like Saw, but had five people in a warehouse miles from anywhere. They (and you) had to figure out out who were the good guys and who were the bad ones. A bit slow to start but gets your interest near the beginning. Definately worth a watch!- Was this review helpful to you?

Unknown who is who for much of the film!
By Bobsview (554 reviews) from Gloucestershire , 25 Jun 2012I'd agree with the average score of 3 out of 5. It is not a bad film and perfectly watchable. But it is not a great movie. It starts a bit like Saw but then takes a different direction. It certainly is hard to know who is who and who is a goodie and who is a baddie. Actually the film gets better as it progresses and does have a good twist at the end. The hoodlums are very convincing . Take care that this is the 2006 Unknown- not the more recent Liam Neeson film with the same name but a different story.- Was this review helpful to you?

Slow film, but keeps the interest
By a customer from Farnborough , 12 Mar 2012The beginning is rather like the start of the Cube movies where everyone wakes up knowing nothing - not even their names.
The good thing is that you dont know which are the good or bad guys and it keeps you guessing for most of the time.
Right up to the end, you could be wrong.
It has a nice twist at the end - in fact a double twist.
The intrigue kept the interest in what was a relatively slow film.- Was this review helpful to you?

Confused with the other 'unknown'
By a customer , 07 Nov 2011I was confused as every one said it was great and with Liam Neeson and when I received it, it wasn't at all as people had described. It was a completely different film. Anyway, I watched it and I thought it was a bit slow and just when things started becoming clear and moving along the movie was over without really getting to the conclusion.- Was this review helpful to you?

this should remain unknown
By furryface (75 reviews) from Bexhill-on-Sea , 05 Sep 2011Having read some of the member reviews I thought I would give this a go, The cast is a pretty good one and most movies with Gregg Kinnear in are decent.
The Performances themselves are fine if not a little underplayed at times by all and the plot was a decent one which was then overcomplicated taking away any of the films edge (if it had one). We are just left guessing what happens next each minute rather than enjoying a film.
The locale made the premise a little unbelievable too, unable to escape from a rickety old, very large warehouse with a gun and lots of gas tanks? Not enough happens in the film to really keep you interested and with an extra five twists thrown in at the end I'm not a hundred percent sure what happened nor do i care.
A below par psychological thriller full of unnessesary twists. Give it a miss. Oh and the strapline of 'Memento meets Resevior Dogs' is ridiculous. I'd watch one of those if I were you.- Was this review helpful to you?
