Denzel likes his locomotives recently!
By Daftorbital (65 reviews) from Weston Super Mare , 26 Feb 2011[Highly rated reviewer]
For starters...this is alot better than The Taking of Pelham 123 remake(another Denzel on a train film and directed by Tony Scott).
But it only really gets half an extra star because the 2 leads in it are brilliant and drive the film to its conclusion in some style.
You certainly would not want Tony Scott to direct a sincere drama but he does this sort of thing very efficiently and it is his best film since Man on Fire, which ironically had some sincere moments in it.
The incompetence of rail staff and people in general in this film is beyond belief but suspend that for 2 minutes and you may just have an evenings fun. this is just a fun movie. Theres not much to add.......but why the rolling car every film tony? this time it really was pointless and blatent. enough already! Oh and this rivals Air Force One for most Cheesy ending in an action thriller ever.
But remember its well made fun...treat it as such- Was this review helpful to you?

By Bigeats (5 reviews) , 22 May 2013Thrills and spills galore. Good solid home entertainment with Denzel Washington in the usual reliable form. He makes a good team with Chris Pine.- Was this review helpful to you?

Realistic heroism
By a customer , 05 May 2013I loved this movie! I saw it for the first time on a long international flight and loved it so much I watched it again, and then bought a copy of the DVD when I got home! It's a nice story of heroism and I particularly like how it is more realistic as opposed to other movies about a hero with superpowers doing unbelievable things.- Was this review helpful to you?

MEN DOING MANLY THINGS
By Fenlandia (11 reviews) , 09 Apr 2013Great actioner. Men doing manly things with big machines in macho and exciting ways. Denzel Washington's usual excellent acting gave the film gravitas. Great!- Was this review helpful to you?

What a Chase
By a customer , 08 Apr 2013Wow! What a contrast in characters and storyline. This film kept on the edge of our seats, we couldnt predict what was coming up or if the idea would work. Denzel and Chris pulled off this high speed chase really well. We liked it so much that we have brought a copy.- Was this review helpful to you?
