If the World Wide Web were an actor it would be declared box office poison. Over the years several films have attempted to position themselves as topical and on the pulse by tackling cyber crimes (I'm thinking of The Net, Firewall and Perfect Stranger, for starters), but invariably they're stuck with the visual tedium of a someone sitting at a computer, and long, bewildering technical explanations to explain how it is that the bad guy is avoiding identification.
