Firstly, I can't believe this dvd has had no reviews! It is one of the most intelligent insights into the human physce that I have seen. Not only is it tremendously funny, it also warrants 'serious' viewing, over and over. The deleted scenes and director's commentary (with Joanna Lumley) give an informative/ amusing look at the character, that together they created. Sometimes you have to be pushed into making the effort over something, then only after you've done it do you think, 'god why had I never seen that before'. This is the perfect example. Take a risk, you'll probably end up buying it!
Probably because I am biased when it comes to Joanna Lumley, but I watched this over four times in one evening.
The way in which it is filmed, it makes you beleive that you have a private one on one with this beautiful lady (even though she is in character)
Seeing this beautiful actress is known for her elegance and beauty, she doesnt mind showing herself as a complete blank canvas for all to see without a piece of makeup on whilst she is talking you through her characters' life.
Well worth the rental!
