The crew of this mothballed ship certainly deserve a rocket, and that's what they get when the new CO turns up unexpectedly. A good crew of familiar faces make this an amusing nautical cruise through all the breaches of the Queen's Regulations!
I don't remember ever seeing the female lead again, but she is attractive. Sellers is on good form as the scheming Chief Petty Officer. Wilfred Hyde White shines as the Commodore, as does David Tomlinson as the hopeless and inept Captain. Recommended as a lighthearted classic British comedy.
