[Highly rated reviewer]this film was recently showcased at the Cannes film festival and is superb.
Up features the voices of Edward Asner, Christopher Plummer, Bob Peterson and Jordan Nagai.
Up is a computer-animated comedy-adventure about a cranky old man called Carl Fredricksen (voiced by Edward Asner) and an overeager Wilderness Explorer Scout called Russell (voiced by Jordan Nagai) who wants to earn his 'assisting the elderly' badge which is the only one that he does not have.
Carl wants to keep a promise to his deceased wife Ellie to fly to Paradise Falls in South America - so he devises a way to keep this promise by creating a makeshift airship using thousands of helium balloons which will lift his house off its foundation.
Russell meanwhile has stowed away on the porch of the house after being sent on a snipe hunt by Carl the day before.
Both are now aboard the floating house suspended from helium balloons on an adventure of a lifetime.
Well worth watching !

Very good.......By mamamia12 (2 reviews) , 25 Aug 2013Funnier than it looks I really love this film and thought it to be one of DISNEY PIXAR's best!!! ONE FOR ALL THE FAMILY -MUST SEE!
Brilliant FilmBy a customer , 16 Aug 2013A very enjoyable heartwarming family film. The animation was second to none and the story line engaging.I personally liked the characters of Russel and dug the best.
Good but needed more humour!By Rock0jest (12 reviews) , 16 Aug 2013I'm not exactly the target market for this but I sat and watched this with my wife as I am a fan of pixar work. During the first 15 mins she was pretty depressed and near to tears and was wondering why we were watching it. I knew it was setting the scene for what was to come but I still question how a young child would view it. As expected the film lightened up and got more uplifting but I found there wasn't much humour as I have come to expect from Pixars. Worth a watch but not amazing, there were plenty of opportunities to inject more humour that was missed.
