Hollywood hot property Brittany Murphy has been in talks to appear in an adaptation of D M Thomas' The White Hotel. To be written and directed by Simon Monjack, who has previously worked on Factory Girl, the film would see Murphy as a Viennese opera singer during WWI, Empire reports.
