If you want to be scared to death don't watch this film but if you want a great film with a variation on the slash 'em up genre then get this one. I did and am I glad.

Main plot involves colledge students being killed off by different methods...

Nothing new there I hear you say but this ones a little different the murders are all done using the urban legends and myths that everybody must have heard over the years.

Great acting and the final unmasking of the murderer came as a surprise to me as I'm usually pretty good at guessing the killer before the end.

    Excellent entertainment.

One of the original slashers that so many have developed the cliches from since. It works well and is still very entertaining despite being quite old now. Good horror, plot, effects and twist. A must for any slasher fan.

not bad, uses the same old scare tactic's of panning the camera round with the main character in full screen, and have a random suddenly walk into frame and go boo!. apart from that, it's a decent enough conspiracy theory flick, and very tongue in cheek. scream did it better, but this is a decent enough spin off.

OK, we all know this is what American teens movies are all about, BUT, we must admit that these were the movies we used to enjoy on the 90s. Popcorn, couple of friends on your couch, a few jumps and the evening was sorted. To be honest, I have never found Urban Leyend a predictable film either any of the horror teen movies from the 90s. Even though there are a couple of stupid scenes, the storyline is so well made that it keeps confusing you till the end. This sort of storyline was very typical on the thrillers from the 60s - that need of watching the whole movie till end it's not something that all movies can achieve. And this type of feature is rarely found on any horror/thriller films nowadays. I have always enjoyed this movie, and I'll recommend it.

Another Scream/I Know What You Did Last Summeresque teen slasher.

It's a decent if dull effort and they managed to rope in some minor league big names like Jared Leto, Tara Reid and one of the guys from Dawson's Creek.

There are one or two decent murders but overall it lacks the genuine scares of other better slasher films.

It's not terrible and if you have time to spare there are much worse films you could choose to watch.
