As with the original Urban Legend, this sequel doesn't deliver the promise of its premise. The first film maintained the storyline about a serial killer murdering in the style of notorious folk-myths until about the half-way mark: here it's effectively ditched after the first few minutes, which feature the gremlin on the airplane wing, the psycho on the flight-deck, human-organ thieves and snuff movies. Then it turns into son-of-Scream, complete with movie in-jokes, as the serial slayer slices and dices his way through the students at a film school. It's slickly made and adequately performed by a young cast, patently chosen as much for their looks as for their talent. But, like the first film, it under-achieves, particularly in the scare department.
This horror sequel opens with an out of control passenger plane, then plummets to intellectual ground zero.... read more on Time Out
not as good as the first one
An entertaining if forgettable film, which is silly at times, but still enjoyable. The movie has an interesting story, some good plot twists, and a good young cast, but on the whole is nothing special. Like the first Urban Legend film though, if you are a fan of movies like Scream or I Know What You Did Last Summer then you should enjoy this film.
