    [Highly rated reviewer]

Well the title says it all. The first 10 mins or so of playing are awsome. Final Fantasy on the PSP to an extent. The cut scenes are pretty decent aswell. However after your into the game for a while it become monotenous, and frankly, boring.

I gave up on it after having it for a few days, not because it was hard, but because it was to repetetive and not engrossing enough. As a huge fan of Square Enix and the Xenosaga/Final Fantsy series, i had high hopes for this game, but it failed to live upto them. The graphics were dull and uninteresting, and didnt do well during the day. Part of that problem is down to the PSP design flaw it has.

The music wears thin aswell after a while, and i was disapointed i couldnt turn it off, since i found it getting on my nerves. The only time i found myself liking the game, was when i got to use the special moves, those were fun to watch. As were the actual movie style cut scenes. The begining one with leneth getting her wings was just amazing.

However getting a game just for the cut scenes isn't likely to happen, not at £30 at least. The best way to handdle games like Leneth is to make them 2 disk games, just like they used to on the old PS1. That way you can do more with them, and make them genuinely worth paying an arma and a leg for.

Over all, this gets 1/5 for me. I would give it 0, but its from square enix, and has an awesome cut scene early on, so i give 1 start fot those elements

this game is dreadful and thats something considering that sqaure enix the company that has brought many great games made it. the story is dull and something thats been done a hungred times before and the gameplay lacks anything for example every chapter you get 24 periods to try and find and strengthen up some characters BUT you then before you get to enjoy having a powerful character have to give them away by sending them to asgard. the combat is awful its way to easy to win and the sytem itself is stupid as each character is assigned to a button and that button makes them attack but they can't always attack and none of the characters get any abilities. also if one dies you can't swap out for one of the others you have, plus stats mean nothing and no matter what level you are you always win, bosses are weak and enemies are pushovers. now the equipment is dire you have to make everything but unlike in mana khemia student alliance(a game that also requires you to make everything) you have next to nothing to make unless you've done at least four or five chapters and even then you get no benefit as it eventually vanishes and you have to remake it again. the characters have no differences except some shoot and some hit they have the same abilities, traits and pretty much the same personalities too plus you do get mages but their worse than useless because the can only attack every few turns and theres no way of buying or making new spells. there is however a bigger problem named arngrim the character who defeats the purpose of the game as unless you do some special event you can't send him to asgard, though you wouldn't want to as he's the only character who can actually kill something. all in all a rubbish game not something i would recomend to anyone.

    Where to start...

Assuming one would have to put it in one sentence it would be: 'Don't play this game unless you have played, finished & got tired of every single other RPG out there'

There are so many things wrong with this game:

    - Boring - Uninteresting story - Mediocre voice acting and dialogue - Frustrating - ...

Basically this game takes you for the first hour and a half into a story with lousy dialogue, where nothing really seems to happen before the actual 'proper' game starts with some interesting fights and RPG stuff.

The problem is, that it does not explain its mechanics well enough. The game seems to be quite in depth in terms of skill allocations and various items but not once does it properly explain what you can actually do. I actually did the extra mile of searching some FAQs online and with the help of those I did enjoy this game somewhat for an hour or two, three but only because I was a week from home and it was the only game I had one me...

Not worth it, chaps & gals.
