Weird but a classic

I thought this film was great i have been waiting for it to come out on dvd.It is probably one of the first horror comedies.A must for people who like vampire films with a bit of humour.A cross between Frightnight and dusk til dawn.Brilliant.

Fangtastic

Its campy, its 80's, but its brilliant. The From Dusk Till Dawn of its day, Vamp has plenty of neon (pink and green), rolled up jacket sleeves and a synthesizer soundtrack. Add vampires, a stripping Grace Jones and some wonderfully cheesy dialogue and you've got a cult classic.

Essential viewing for lovers of 80's kitch

I've owed the R1 DVD of this film ever since I caught it on late-night TV many years ago and it's one of my favourite films. Forget the thin story about college frats scouring the city for a stripper, only to end up as vampire fodder, and instead relish Grace Jones's bizarre turn as queen vampire (in one scene naked, except for Keith Haring body paint) and Sandy Baron's droll turn as Vic, the owner of the 'After Dark Club'. Filled to the brim with gigglesome (yet quotable) dialogue, scary 80's fashions, big hair (and boobs) and a snazzy 'Miami Vice'-like score. Pity you can't get the song that Ms Jones strips to...
