Piranha anyone?
By Paul Mallett from Middlesex, England , 12 Apr 2007[Highly rated reviewer]
Lots of feverish little animals created by the usual toxic industrial waste kill, in a rather old-fashioned poorly focussed way, the usual mix of stoned, drunk, over-sexed American high school (or is it college, who cares?) kids. Don't bother to watch it for Lucy Lawless unless you are interested in why she has never become a star in the minds of adults who walk about in daylight. In case it's still not clear; this film is rubbish.- Was this review helpful to you?

By a customer from romford , 24 Nov 2008in case anyone didnt know ...this is a follow up to the film Locusts .....which also starred Lucy Lawless as Maddy Rierdon ....having moved from the city with her husband and kids to spend more time with them she finds herself helping the local sheriff and mayor when one of her students is found dead with all the blood drained from his body . After a few more incidents she realises the problem is vampire bats , mutated , after toxic waste has been illegally dumped in the local river .
Well ...this is not as good as Locusts ....the acting is a bit ropey ..the attack scenes are very basic and look a bit cheap ...Lucy Lawless gives a decent performance under the circumstances ......the budget must have been very low ....only give 3 stars because of Lucy Lawless .....she is better than this type of movie ..- Was this review helpful to you?

Ugh!
By madarachnid (3 reviews) from Telford, UK , 18 Feb 2008This film really is very dire. I can't even explain how bad, cos I honestly think my brain has blocked it out. The plot is diabolical and desperately predictable. Lucy Lawless (Xena anyone?) tries her hardest, but with the script she's given barely has a chance. The rest of the cast are mostly amateurs with very little promise for the future. I have given this film 2 stars partly because the science behind the story has obviously been researched at least a little bit; and partly because I fell asleep after 40 minutes and I'm assuming it could only have got better.- Was this review helpful to you?

Dissapointing
By Kalliope (31 reviews) from Scotland , 09 Dec 2007I am usually quite fond of badly made horror or disaster movies - they are quite fun to laugh at. However, this one was just really boring, had really bad dialogue, was very predictable and all around cheesy.
It did, however, have such horrible special effects that at times it was hilarious.
I was really looking forward to seeing Lucy Lawless from a non-Xena perspective. But, she was not even recognizable at first and was not given much to work with.- Was this review helpful to you?
