A whole load of Vampire funBy LeoM (19 reviews) from London , 07 May 2007
[Highly rated reviewer]Van Helsing hurtles along at one hell of a rate with scene after scene of monster smashing carnage as Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale do their best to annoy Dracula and his unholy friends!
I thought this film was visually spectacular and was just a lot of fun. Kate Beckinsale is absolutely stunning and there are also some seriously hot Romanian vampire chicks flying about to boot.
Get off your high horses fellow reviewers and stop taking it all so seriously. This film isnt looking to win any awards with its in depth story line and narrative - its just a bit of CGI fun. So enjoy.

Enjoyable watchBy Boogers (3 reviews) from Basildon , 01 Jul 2009If you enjoyed Extrodinary league of gentleman you will enjoy this.
not orignal as a movie idea however not something that has been tried much in modern times, so is quite refreshing.
good performances from beckinsale (looking fantastic) and jackman, draculas brides also, carry the remainder of the cast, particuarly dracula who doesent convince at all.
warewolfs, frankensteins monster, dracular...a very enjoyable watch
okBy kass (35 reviews) from Huddersfield , 16 May 2009lots of cgi action but rather average
Vampire fun!By SteVB (29 reviews) from Leeds , 12 May 2009Utterly fantastic! Great horror moments, cool CGI, exhilirating action and great characters. The plot, although simple, drives the humour, action and emotion excellently. Above all, it doesn't take itself seriously, which is a great relief.

brill!;brill!;brill! brill!; brill! brill! brill!;brill! brill! brill! brill! brill!By a customer from Peterborough , 30 Mar 2009A brilliant adventure from start to finish. A fantasy adventure that stars the very likeable Hugh Jackman (one of my fave actors) and the gorgeous Kate Beckinsale. There are definitely some funny moments include a very obvious homage to Bond. Lots of fast paced action with good special effects with a storyline based on the legend of Dracula - OK, not original but definitely my favourite implementation of it. Good film. Proud to have it in my collection. The best compliment is that it has a space on my shelf. Shelf space for DVDs is precious - this definitely deserves one of them.
