Van Wilder 2 - The Rise Of Taj

The legacy of perpetual college party-man Van Wilder lives on in NATIONAL LAMPOON’S VAN WILDER 2 - THE RISE OF TAJ, as his former apprentice Taj Mahal Badalandabad (Kal Penn) takes the torch to jolly old England, where he is continuing his education at stuffy Camford University. Despite a newfound confidence and hip makeover from his days at Coolidge College, things get off to a shaky start for Taj when he is rejected by the prestigious Fox and Hounds fraternity, and ends up boarding with a group of social misfits. Driven to live up to his former mentor’s good name and also to make his father proud, Taj sets out to prove his big-man-on-campus potential by unabashedly leading his outcast housemates in an attempt to defeat the wealthy elite of Camford in a range of competitions for the coveted Hastings Cup. Like its predecessor, the film is chock-full of vulgar humour and sophomoric antics. Although Taj is the only character to appear from the first VAN WILDER (with the exception of Wilder’s pet bulldog), many of the plot points are predictably similar. Occasionally peeking through the excessive sexual references, outrageous gags, and cringe-worthy debauchery is a laugh-out-loud film that encourages the underdog and thumbs its nose at the establishment. Much like the grandfather of all college films, ANIMAL HOUSE, VAN WILDER 2 - THE RISE OF TAJ examines the lighter side of higher education, pointing out that it’s not only about earning a diploma but also about discovering one’s potential--and not forgetting to have fun along the way.

    Van wilder 2

amazing, so funny! Couldnt stop laughing, altho it was not as good as the first Van Wilder, but i often find that is the case with follow on's. Maybe im slightly disapointed theres no Ryan Renolds in it :(

Only one good thing about this film

    YOU GET TO SEE BOOBS!!!!!!

Otherwise they have just produced a rubbish film only saved by seeing a spectacular pair of breasts!

The lead character that plays Taj cannot carry off the same performance as Ryan Renolds and is only worth watching to appreciate the fine female form.

I gave it 1 star for every half naked girl I saw ;-) otherwise it’s not worth 1!

By day, Harold Lee (John Cho) is a conscientious up-and-coming investment banker, the very model of sobriety. But of an evening, he falls under the influence of his party-hearty room-mate Kumar Patel (Kal Penn) - not to mention certain illegal narcotics - and then, well, anything could happen. In theory. Like, they might decide they need to go out for a burger... It may not be the most noble of quests, but I guess if Luis Buñuel can make a surrealist classic about a dinner party that never...
