Don't Bother!
Absolutely dreadful. I was conned into this by the trailer which made it look original, interesting, clever, and full of imaginative twists. Unfortunately it's a cheap and unintentionally comical parody of the Hollywood blockbuster with all the usual clichés, car chases and happy endings. All the goodies survive car crashes, being shot, blown up, while the baddies get what's coming to them. By the fifth 'vantage point' (the same scene being repeated again and again and again and again from a different points of view) I was ready to shoot myself. But being boring is its best point, other than that, it panders to American patriotism and arrogance with a lazy and ridiculously unbelievable script and laughable symbolism. Forest Whitaker made a mistake agreeing to this. Should have gone straight to TV.

Best feature is it's biggest weakness
A good enough film with some decent action and a moderately unique approach with the 'points of view' technique. Having said that, the twist is also it's biggest weakness. While each point of view is different, you're essentially being taken through the same events over and over. So while the story slowly unfolds, it unfolds in a very repetitive way. The final section kinda peaces it all together and held my attention, but I found it a little tedious always knowing what was gonna happen in the previous scenes.
Worth a watch, but nothing special. -

Conspiracy thriller Vantage Point, which stars Dennis Quaid (Inner Space, The Day After Tomorrow, Traffic) and Oscar winner Forest Whitaker (The Last King of Scotland), has shot to the top of the UK box office on its opening weekend.
