Rocky Balboa tops the box office

UK cinema-goers appeared to like Rocky Balboa in the last week of January as it hit number one at the box office, bringing its total takings to over £6.6 million. The boxing sequel was followed in second place by political thriller Blood Diamond, starring Leonardo DiCaprio as a South African mercenary and Jennifer Connelly as an investigative journalist, reports ACNielsen EDI. Premiere magazine recently rated Peter O'Toole's performance in Lawrence of Arabia the greatest ever committed to celluloid.
