[Highly rated reviewer]This film is a 'must see' for everyone. At times exciting, funny and weepy, it is made all the more poignant for being a true story. Superb acting by the ever-talented Cate Blanchett adds to the film's merits. The only downside to watching this film is that it can be slightly depressing - so best not to watch when you're already feeling low!

Veronica GuerinBy Fulton (60 reviews) from Marlow , 27 Jul 2009Excellent film well worth watching. Just a shame she had to die to change life in Ireland.
ConvictionBy a customer from London , 19 Jul 2009very good moving true story of a very brave woman of conviction.
Gutsy reporterBy a customer from London , 30 Apr 2009I personally think that Kate Blanchett is an amazing actress and choses her films very carefully. Veronica Guerin was a gutsy reporter wanting to do the right thing and change, well not the world, but certainly Dublin and teenage drug taking. It leads her into a scary underworld which she, having a little too high an opinion of herself, defies until being badly beaten up and then shot at. Although scared and a lot more humbler it is pure defiance that makes her push on to her own detriment.
