Our story begins in the picturesque surroundings of Barcelona where two American girls are about to find out that they have a lot more in common than they first anticipated. Vicky is a practical, studious and engaged. Cristina on the other hand is reckless, adventurous and recovering from a failed relationship. Both of them are about to have their worlds turned upside down by an infamous, bohemian artist called Juan and his psychotic ex-wife.

Woody Allen's best film in years
After a spate of rather lack lustre films from Woody Allen’s comes this little gem. Great dialogue, with many laugh out loud lines delivered buy some stand-out performances from Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz and our own Rebecca Hall, masterful direction of Mr Allen. I loved it and it was wonderful surprise.

Woody Allen gave Penelope Cruz just two hours to read the script for his film Vicky Cristina Barcelona and decide if she wanted a role in the project. The filmmaker sent the actress a copy asking her to take on the role of an unstable artist - on the condition she return the manuscript within a strict two-hour time period.
