The story of Donna (Jaclyn Smith), a woman who finds herself falling in love with a police officer, Dennis, after her first husband shoots himself in the family car. Donna takes on the job of nanny to Dennis' children, and is eventually pressed into accepting his proposal of marriage. However, Dennis has been abusing steroids and Donna also discovers that his first wife and mother may have died at Dennis' hands. After Dennis threatens to kill her, Donna decides to hire a hitman since she cannot get any protection from the police - they are not interested in complaints against a colleague - but her nightmare is only just beginning.

Shocking events that push a Mother to do something desperate. Sometimes a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do to save herself and her children.
