Victoria Wood is a gem in the small world of female comics. With her heart set firmly in the North, her humour can often go over the heads of some individuals.
If you enjoyed Dinnerladies, or any of her stand-up DVDs then you are going to love this. Why bother renting the 'Best Of' when you can see the complete package.
One or two sketches miss the mark slightly, and I confess I tend to fast forward over a few of the songs - (she is a very talented song writer, but they don't all have the same impact) but this wa sa fabulous TV series and well worth a watch.
Enjoy.- Was this review helpful to you?

Good but dated
By DrG (3 reviews) from Birmingham , 27 Jul 2008I have fond memories of watching As Seen on TV when it was first broadcast. Unfortunately, although a good number of sketches are still very funny, some now seem awfully dated and not even smile-raising, especially some of the rather cringe-making musical items. Nostalgia ain't wot it used to be.- Was this review helpful to you?
