Even an over-used and under-funny Mike Myers can't salvage this flight-attendant comedy that never leaves the terminal, let alone gets off the ground. It's not entirely the film's fault. With several in-flight comedy sequences reportedly axed to give frazzled airline companies a break, film was never likely to take flight. But, even allowing for that, it's still hard to see what first attracted Myers and top-billed Gwyneth Paltrow to this mediocre tale of a small-town stewardess who wants to fly high with a major airline. Mercifully short, the film traces her training under Myers's tutelage, plus her run-in with a cabin rival.
Well, what a great film if you like slap stick entertainment. This was a great film to watch, full of fun, love and the American Way!! I went out to buy this film after I rented it. It's a comedy but seen through air Hosties! great great great
It's a nice movie, cute, very relaxed, different, chick flick, funny. This is a fun movie to watch, especially if you're into romantic comedies.
Predictable rags-to-riches comedy that's watchable but really not as funny as it could have been (hence the absence of a UK cinematic release).
White-trash girl follows her dream of becoming a first-class international flight attendant, leaving behind the trailer park and striving through tacky local airlines, flight training, betrayal and having to choose between the job and her perfect man. Sound formulaic? Oh yes. Its as predictable as any old John Hughes movie; a Coyote Ugly without the dancing (and about as intelligent make of that what you will!).
Mike Myers, clearly improvising away from the mediocre script, sparks the biggest (though not plentiful) laughs; with the possible exception of a catfight involving a loaf of bread.
Gwyneth Paltrow is fine, Christina Applegate is better (though not on quite the top form as yes-we-know-its-dumb-but-just-enjoy-it trash classic The Sweetest Thing). An amiable, if forgettable, watch.

Quite Funny, A bit of light entertainment that you can relax with. For anyone in the industry, you will wince at some of the lines! they are a bit close to the bone. PS Movie is worth watching to see Mike Myers' cameo role.
Come on! Ms Paltrow isnt ever going to hack it as poor white trash. Watch her dancing with her workmates at the end of training disco and she's acting her little preppy white socks off to get down and dirty - while everyone else is genuinely having a good time.
Having said that, this is perfectly enjoyable little film! Okay, it's clichéd, predictable and frankly preposterous in places (how did a sacked colleague manage to hide on an aircraft the size of a conference hall even before 9/11?) - but who doesn't want to sit down sometimes for an easy ride?
Mike Myers overplays his bigger than expected part (ooer) with his usual charm and Mark Ruffalo mumbles away as the cuddly love interest.
Along with a couple of good gags on Gwynie's inaugural flight, this is a perfect film for a midweek evening with a bottle of chardonnay and a box of Milk Tray.
Being a genuine fan of aviation, I liked this movie. To start with I thought its just another comedy, but this really is a good romantic comedy. It has a good story and nice performances.
Family entertainment.
Entertaining! A story that goes back to choosing a life between career & love. Enjoy it whilst you sit back & relax.
Not a bad film with a hilarious cameo from Mike Myers. It's formulaic but enjoyable and light. The documentary on the DVD of the history of stewardesses is pretty interesting as well. Nice film.
