This is one movie that Matthew Modine and Linda Fiorentino would rather forget. Modine stars as an overly thin high school wrestling champ, whose obsession with his sport is confused by a growing infatuation with his father's lodger (Fiorentino). As the older woman she wraps him round her little pinkie, but of course this gives him the confidence to confront his biggest competitor in the ring. Wrestling is a strange sport and, as a subject, makes for an even stranger movie. Fiorentino is as strong as ever and Modine just about holds his own, given the appalling script and risible storyline. Madonna appears briefly to sing the hit song Crazy For You.
