    Could have been better...

A great idea that, in the hands of a decent writer, could have been a great movie. Unfortunately this falls far short. The actors do their best, but are ultimately let down by a poor script.

The characters constantly tell each other their backstories, which we see in flashback, and there is little character development. Consequently I didn't really care when anyone got killed.

The final battle has some good special effects, but seems to be over before it has begun. There are a few twists along the way, but these are so poorly set up by the clunky script that you spot them coming a mile away.

Worth a watch, but don't expect to be blown away by this one.

    Voodoo Poo, more like.

I'm giving one star as a rating for this movie to whomever had the guts to put it on gereal release.

What a load of tripe. Demonic forces? Yeah, right. I've got more demonic forces in my little finger.

One of those movies where you stick with it, hoping 'It might get better in a bit, I'll keep going' and then the end credits start rolling, leaving you wondering whom you can possibly sue to get that portion of your life back and do something better with it....perhaps sticking salt and vinegar crisps in your eye.

I'm as fond of a black comedy horror as the next man, but PLEASE...could we at least have a little bit of horror? And a bit more intentional comedy? Not just laughing at the actors coz they're so rubbish?

The problem with films like this also is that, after watching them, less people are inclined to go and see low budget thriller / horror films which CAN BE VERY GOOD (they can they can they can!).

What a load of old tosh. I'm finishing this review now because I'm on the verge of retracting the single star.
