Pure absolute trashBy a customer , 08 Dec 2012I've played most of the WWE games, enjoyed most of them too. But this is beyond a shadow of a doubt the biggest piece of garbage in the series. It may be a contender for the worst game ever made, or at least, current generation. It is diabolical. The controls are ferociously poor, convoluted and they don't have a control set-up in the pause menu meaning you have to stumble your way through. I've been playing for a few hours, still don't know the controls. They are a hideous mess and so far it seems researching online and writing down your own scrapbook of controls is the only way to work out what does what, It gets considerably worse from there though. The target indicator is broken, unlike previous WWE games you can't change target once it's locked. It auto-locks and unlocks by range, you cannot override it. Unless you can, by which i cannot figure out how, given the control instructions are so absent that i can't tell what does what. Gameplay is so poor, countering is poor, doing strong grapple holds is impossible, it says it's A and hold away from your opponent then AA, but that does the irish whip or a normal move. Even they are hard to do. Hell, just to run you have to press BB and A RS LS away from your opponent, even then you have no direction in your run so you run static. Awful controls, so terrible i cannot convey what a joke they are. Just for giggles i've tried doing a royal rumble, it's a combination of everything wrong in gaming. I like wrestling games, but this is abysmal. Storyline is very weak, tiresome, disinteresting, devoid of anything interesting, there quite literally is nothing to do that has any potential to hold your interest for more than 5 minutes, at most. It's so bad. Overall, i'd give it a 0/10.
Trophy GameBy GeneralJewel (32 reviews) from London , 14 Mar 2012A platinum is possible in 5 hours, other then that the game is mildy enjoyable because of how stupid it looks. The game is wrestling with Quick Time Events that require no engagement other then pressing buttom prompts. Again for platinum yes but for a good wresting game, try the annual and lastest WWE titles and definitely not this.
Easy platinum trophyBy SMac1 (2 reviews) from Manchester , 05 Feb 20124 stars as the game is a bit repetitive, but this is expected of a sports game. easy for trophies and platinum. good gameplay with all the great wrestlers
I don't like itBy mattymatt87 (6 reviews) from Edgware , 18 Aug 2011I do tend to be a fan of wrestling games and having been a wrestling fan in the days of Bret Hart, British Bulldog, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Jake the snake, etc i was interested in this games simply because they would be there. You could say i was somewhat nostalgic in my approach to renting this game.
However i was extremly disapointed.
The create modes were really bad and move sets were very limited.
I was disappointed to not see randy savage, sting, razor ramone, papa shango or doink the clown.
I did not like the controls for this game either.
All in all i'd say this game is a good idea that went horribly wrong.
