(5)Ghostly goings-on
By RJNeb2 (922 reviews) from London , 17 Nov 2012Kudos for attempting something a little different a creepy would-be horror set in a remote Chinese village where a mysterious and ghostly killer is stalking the streets. But thats about it in terms of distinction apart from a half-decent twist at the end, this is listlessly made and indifferently acted, all leading up to a silly resolution. It is however a huge quantum leap in quality from its directors previous atrocity, Watch Me.- Was this review helpful to you?

Not walk, run from this one..!
By modestfly (14 reviews) from Burton-on-Trent , 01 May 2012This was the 1st time i'd seen an offering by 'serial horror' director Melanie Ansley. Regret having done so now. Every aspect of this film is well below standard, its even astonishing that the director/ writer has ever worked before, or will infact ever work again. Please, for your own sanity, do not even be tempted by this - big mistake....! Diabolically bad screenplay, poor actors, awful script- Was this review helpful to you?

Almost Forbidden Siren
By Sephy (43 reviews) from Kent , 31 Mar 2011I wanted a film that reminded me of the Forbidden Siren Games, and I almost got it....almost. This movie is far better than the actual movie of the games.
Walking the dead is set in a very lovely looking Chinese town, unusual in it's design, somewhat Western looking buildings with a Chinese twang.
Although low budget and not really that horrifying, I found this movie to be very enthralling. It's slow witted inhabitants, the remnants of a dead town kept alive with the practice of 'Walking the Dead'. Masters of this art are the only ones capable of this feat. The idea was that the dead would need to be taken home for burial so the master would 'Walk the Dead' back to their hometowns to their families. Things were taken too far here and an American reporter bent on regaining his reputation arrives to investigate the mysterious claims of a local who wished for the truth to be told.
So close to being a fantastic supernatural offering, let down by a low budget and questionable actors.
Cinematography is good and storyline interesting enough to keep me going, Walking the Dead is on me shelf with a 6/10.- Was this review helpful to you?

Very Silly..
By Tylertron (3 reviews) from Bath , 13 Aug 2010Okay, so its not a brilliant movie. Okay, so the cover is probably the most frightening part of this film. If you're expecting a film to stop you sleeping, this won't be it.
However, if you see this on somebody's shelf and fancy a bit of a laugh, then I highly recommend you pick it up. Bad acting, awful dialog, unoriginal plot - but if you're not expecting much there are more than a few laughs to be had! At some points I had to remind myself I hadn't subconsciously flicked over to Badly Dubbed Porn, or a bizarre version of My Name Is Bruce without featuring Mr Campbell himself.
Long story short, take it seriously and you will be disappointed. Sit back, relax, and ride the cheese. You might enjoy yourself.- Was this review helpful to you?
