A real human wrestling with himself as well as with criminal masterminds

The gripping plot of the murder mysteries in these films almost becomes the backdrop to Kurt Wallander's self destructive life. For me Rolf Lassgard is the best Wallander; a real, three dimensional man as he battles with his mid life crisis in the midst of some challenging circumstances.- Was this review helpful to you?

By a customer , 24 Jan 2013I watched this before moving on to the later version with Krister Henrikson. To me this is so much better: better acted, more moody, more character depth, better storylines. Just superb. Pity there are only 6 episodes.- Was this review helpful to you?
