This is quite an intriguing and watchable thriller, if a little over-plotted and requiring huge suspension of disbelief, which is lifted from the mundane by two things: an unusual premiss in which the 'house of horror' is the first demolition project of a newly graduated female engineer anxious to prove herself, and a thoroughly believeable performance by the young woman who plays her - Mischa Barton, a new name for me, but I'll be keeping an eye out for her again. I thought she gave a rather underwritten part (one or two scenes didn't ring at all true in terms of characterisation, but I can't say more without giving spoilers) more substance than it deserved. Well done, Ms. Barton.
