Created by Tomoko Hayakawa, the anime series THE WALLFLOWER tells the story of Sunako Nakahara, a young woman who has become an ugly duckling after being turned down by a boy. Volume 1 sees Sunako's aunt take action when she offers four beautiful young men, Kyouhei, Ranmaru, Takenaga, and Yukinojou, free rent in her mansion if they can turn her niece into a respectable young lady. Easier said than done when Sunako is the Goth chick from hell, with no social skills and an obsession with horror movies.
