This has to be a good example of Anime! Unusual from the outset, it draws the audience into a plot which would have been rejected by traditional cartoonists and deemed too out there for even a short story in young adult literature.

Wallflower is a romance at heart and dispite the 'scary girl' protagonist, makes no apologies for its softer side. It touches on the akward teenage relationships, how easily people can be hurt and how hard it is to make someone trust once bitten.

Truthfully it will only ever appeal to a niche audience. However if your thing is gothic angsty teenage girls, anatomical statues and boys who really look like girls. Then don't hold back!!
