Wanted DVD promotion blasted from ad breaks

A TV advert to promote the DVD release of Angelina Jolie's action thriller Wanted has been banned by watchdogs for glamorising violence. Britain's Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has demanded the removal of the promotional footage from ad break schedules on TV over claims it makes the use of guns and violence look sexy. Angelina Jolie has topped a new list of high-earning actresses - earning £1.3 million more than her partner Brad Pitt's ex-wife Jennifer Aniston last year (08). Angelina Jolie has landed a role in another suspense thriller - as a crime-solving medical examiner in a new film based on Patricia Cornwell's bestselling novels. Jolie has signed on to play the title character from Cornwell's 16 novel series about forensic examiner Dr. Kay Scarpetta - a woman with a messy love life who solves crime and loves the opera.
