Certainly Not a MasterpieceBy Cato (705 reviews) from Lydbury North , 19 Jul 2011Afraid I didn't find this the masterpiece I had expected. In fact I found it quite sleep inducing for long stretches and rather amateurish in its construction and continuity. The fact that the sub titles diisappeared during the trial scene at the end didn't help either. Made in 1965, with the size of the gleaming automobiles and perfect blanched complexions of the actors, it could easily have passed for a poor Hollywood effort, which is what I suppose Bollywood was striving to emulate. I have seen much better Indian films than this one.
very nice filmBy harrym (61 reviews) from Birmingham , 04 Mar 2009i saw this on the vhs system, it was a brilliant film, love the actors and the story us fairly gripping, but will always rem, member trhe scene with the pandit predictions, a true say...watch this film u will definitely enjoy.
