Atmospheric and different
Bought this film in Australia and was not disappointed. A different sort of role for Jet Li but he carries it off with great support from Andy Lau. Not a martial arts film but more an historical epic. Plenty of action, but not a fight fest! Is now my wife's favorite Jet Li film so no better recommendation.

Jet Li does another honer film
As a bit of fan of Jet Li films I really must say this not his best, its his worst but its not his best. I found the film to be a bit of a drag and the tempo was slow. The film started off fast but for a reason known too the director then began too slow down and the more you watch it the more you didnt want to watch it.
Its in subtites so it makes it harder too follow but with the added slow temp and honor like acting it makes you think; is this plot going anywer?e or have I missed the point of the film?.
An hour into the film I lost consintration and lost the will too watch it anymore.
Better luck next time Jet li.
