Sammo Hung does triple-duty as director, co-choreographer, and co-star of this classic kung fu epic from the 1970s. Hua (Casanova Wong) stumbles upon a plot hatched by a businessman named Mo (Fung Hak On) to take over the city of Fushan by killing its headman. When his knowledge is discovered by one of the henchman's flunkies, he goes to hide out at the home of an elderly doctor and master of Wing Chun kung fu, played by Leung Kar Yan in the most outstanding performance of his career. Fei Chun (Sammo Hung) persuades the old master to teach the young cashier Whing Chun, and the three eventually go head-to-head with the villains. With flawless direction and fight choreography, this martial arts epic sports elaborate sets and picturesque outdoor locations; the tale unfolds with humour, wit, and excitement, driven by top-drawer performances by all the actors.

Thank goodness for Hong Kong Legends.
I cannot praise this DVD distributor enough.
Another first class release from them. One of Sammo Hung's best directorial efforts. Plenty of Wing Chun style fighting and some slapstick comedy thrown in for good measure.
If you like the more traditional style of Kung Fu action this is definately one that I can recommend... as long as you can forgive the oddness of some of the fighting techniques.
Sammo Hung is without doubt one of the greatest action choreographers and fighters of all time. This film has fine support, with Casanova Wong, one of the most underrated in this genre putting in a fantastic physical performance.
Everything Sammo touches is just poor gold, he just doesn't dissapoint, he even makes Jackie Chan look better. This movie is one of my favourites and I think better than Prodigal Son, the fight scenes kick ass and the story moves along at a great pace. What sammo did for kung fu coreography (sorry cant spell) pushed the genre forward years, also bay logan is on the commetary to make us all hk experts, another fine disk from hk legends andone of sammos' master pieces, wicked
