Best film everBy a customer from Bridgwater , 19 Jul 2010
[Highly rated reviewer]This has to be the best film ever. I remember going to watch it from the age of 11 and was spell bound. I have watched it many times over the years and it never fails to move me to tears and fill me with the excitement I felt the first time I saw it at the cinema. It is not designed to be cute, but thought provoking.

Hard to watch in places but worth itBy Danss2 (1 review) from Basildon , 12 Jul 2009
THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHideThis one of only 3 films that can still make me cry (E.T. and Man on fire being the other 2). If what you want is a story with strong morals and a sense of realism this is the film for you. I plan to let my son watch it when I think he is ready. The content is dark in places but it is also honest. It doesn't sugarcoat the way that life can treat you and is good for a challenging bit of viewing. Kehar the seagull was always one of my favourite comedy characters (although not suitable for younger children!!). And the Prayer scene when one of the rabbits had just died still moves me to this day. It is not a film for the faint hearted and your kids may have a few nightmares after watching it, but maybe that's not such a bad thing. It will open their eyes and is a fantastic piece of cinema based on a great book.
Dark and DisturbingBy a customer from Worcestershire , 22 Jun 2009I've heard that this is a classic film that has been studied and adored for years. Forgive me as i missed the point.
Interesting, and little more!
Watership DownBy a customer from Harwich , 26 Nov 2008Not quite the same as I remember when watching as a child.
Bit to scary & sad for a really young child, and probably a bit of a bore for an older child.
And Definately Not for Adults.....
So a No go really...
Took me back to my childhoodBy a customer from London , 03 Oct 2008Loved this movie, doesnt have all the dramatic effects that cartoons these days have but fabulous anyway. One of those movies you see as a kid and love it, then you watch it as an adult and get taken back to your childhood. If you didnt see this as a child then probably doesnt mean as much and will just be a cartoon about rabbits!
watership downBy panis (1 review) from richmond , 09 Aug 2008This is a pretty grim film for young children and any age for that matter. i am at a loss as to why it receives so much attention
i think it is a movie that can safely be given a miss
