Wayne's World

In this big screen spin-off of the SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE skit, two small-town cable TV hosts and best friends, Wayne (Mike Myers) and Garth (Dana Carvey), spend their days and nights chasing babes (schwing!) and refusing to budge from their long-haired, head-banging lifestyle. Ably capturing a love of rock music and the goofiness and exuberance of youth, director Penelope Spheeris (THE DECLINE OF WESTERN CIVILIZATION PARTS documentary series) brings a natural sense of fun and abandon to the film. (The car scene featuring Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" alone is a comedy classic.) WAYNE'S WORLD features appearances by Rob Lowe, Chris Farley, rockers Meat Loaf and Alice Cooper, and others.

Starring Mike Myers, Dana Carvey, Rob Lowe, Tia Carrere, Brian Doyle-Murray, Lara Flynn Boyle, Kurt Fuller, Colleen Camp, Donna Dixon, Ed O'Neill, Chris Farley, Meat Loaf

    Party on....and on... and on....

A superb film that defined its generation, and for me is still as fresh and funny as the day it was released. The comic genius of Myers and all involved has become legend, Just watched it again after over 5 yeras and realised that, regardless how shady the plot might be, this is one fantastic groundbreaking comedy that deserves a regular watch to keep your humor tank full..

    The Invention of Lying

    Lowe won't laugh on set

    • 07 Oct 2009

Working with funnyman Ricky Gervais in new comedy The Invention Of Lying was "frustrating" for professional Rob Lowe - because the Brit kept ruining scenes by giggling through them.
