Dinosaurs have represented box-office gold for Steven Spielberg over the years, but not in this case. He serves as executive producer on this animated tale that wasn't widely shown in the UK — a shame since it's a jolly enough affair, well designed and featuring a literate script from Oscar-winning writer John Patrick Shanley. The story revolves around four dinosaurs who travel through time to New York and get mixed up in a series of adventures. Children will adore the dino-antics while adults will recognise some familiar voices: John Goodman, Felicity Kendal, Rhea Perlman, Martin Short and Jay Leno.
I got this as my son who is a few months shy of three loves dinosaurs. Thought he would settle down and fall in love with it but after 20mins and a few attempts to say look theres a big funny dinosaur he announced that he didn't like it. Mind you he loves Walking With the Dinosaurs so maybe he thought he was too much of a big boy for it. Still it doesn't compare to Shrek and some of Disneys releases.
