After reading the book I was excited about this film but I was thoroughly disappointed. However, I can not fault the acting, particularly Tilda Swinton but I just felt it didn't do the book justice. It didn't come across well what she was supposed to be thinking and I think if I hadn't read the book I wouldn't have understood it as well as I did.

Have not read the book. I found the film engaging if a little hard work to get into initially. Would recommend it.

Great performances throughout the film from all involved. I wouldn't say it was a pleasure to watch as I disliked the 2 main protagonists in the film as it was obviously made to do. But I guess that compliments the quality of the acting. It isn't obvious without knowing what the underlying theme behind the story is, which could lead to confusion when watching it. Worth a watch as it is a film which will throw us so many different opinions.

  • Where's the dialogue?

Strangely compelling but be prepared! The film keeps moving about from one time period to another. Even the 'present' dashes about a bit. The past more or less follows the sequential story of Kevin from birth to age 16. Dialogue is rare. Most amazing thing is the casting - actors who look like older versions of the original Kevin but don't seem to be related.

  • Too Anoying

Looking forward to the film after reading the book. Disappointed the film stipped away the book's subtlety. The story didn't need an overly dramatic approach. Had to stop watching half way through - not too disturbing, just too anoying,
