The funniest film I've seen all year. Utterly hilarious
Wickedly funny
I went to see this with a mate and wasn't sure I'd like it. I was glad I went, I have never ever laughed so long, so hard and so loud at a movie before. Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson have amazing chemistry, they bounce humour off each other and the combo really really works. It's along the same lines as a teen sex comody... only Vaughn and Wilson are adults (perhaps not mentally!) and this makes it all the funnier. I love that they have 'codes' which they give each other for situations too, it's all so childish but hilarious. The cast all seem to work together and Isla Fisher pulls of crazy sex mad gal a little too well! this is a must rent, must buy, must bore my friends to tears about film.
Didn't work for me. The characters seemed to change roles to suit the story which made them difficult to take to. The parts with comic potential were just cheesy and the parts that should have been cheesy (i.e. the uplifting ending) were farcical. Who in their right mind would get together with Owen Wilson after the completely inaapropriate and not at all funny declaration of love speech he makes in the church at the end? And why on earth would Vince Vaughn want to marry psycho freak Isla Fisher? It's a mystery. In trying to subvert the cliches of the romantic comedy the scriptwriters have ended up with a confused mess. Not really worth spending time on.

Both actors are starring in Four Christmases, as a couple who struggle to visit each of their divorced parents on December 25th. However, tension is apparently building on the set, because while Witherspoon arrives early and ready to roll, Vaughn turns up looking worse for wear, according to the New York Daily News. And once they start filming, the... Read more
