Although Reese Witherspoon may be well known for her Oscar-winning role in Walk the Line, she looks set to exercise her comedy skills if a current deal is finalised. Together with Wedding Crashers star Vince Vaughn, Witherspoon is in final talks to star in Four Christmases, in which a couple struggle to visit each of their divorced parents during the festive season. A movie starring Jack Black and Robert Downey Jr that is currently filming will be without Owen Wilson who was scheduled to complete a week's work on the picture, it was confirmed today. Wilson, who co-wrote The Royal Tenenbaums and has starred in films such as Starsky and Hutch and Wedding Crashers, was hospitalised at the weekend. Filming of a new festive comedy has hit an allegedly rocky patch due to the different working styles of Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn. Both actors are starring in Four Christmases, as a couple who struggle to visit each of their divorced parents on December 25th. Jared Hess's indie hit has created a niche for comedic geek chic, and it's clearly the principal influence on recent release Eagle vs Shark and this week's Hot Rod. The Big Lebowski star John Goodman and Grosse Point Blank's Joan Cusack are to team up as the parents of Wedding Crashers actress Isla Fisher for a new comedy, according to reports in Hollywood.
