This is a real undiscovered gem! The 3 leads gel really well and there are some classic moments like the mask and bath scene! Very funny! Has the potential to reach cult status.
Its directed of Pump up the Volume and Empire Records...classics in their own right.
Check it out!
once this came i thought it's going to be a big steaming pile ... i know you're thinking, so why rent it moron. Well i'm glad i did, it was really funny, completely different to what i expected, a flash back to the good old empire records days....
The only think i hated was Taryn Manning, but that's only because i hate her anyway, and why does she insist on singing in that god awful nasal voice in every film she does?!... blah.
PUMP UP THE VOLUME's Allan Moyle directs this trippy comedy starring Scott Speedman, Wes Bentley, and Taryn Manning. WEIRDSVILLE combines overdoses, dead bodies, resurrection, and Satanic sacrifices to darkly comic effect.

Its not your run of the mill film,if ur after something different u won't be dissappointed

I had heard that this was a comedy, I shall definitely have words with the friend who recommended this!
This is the worst of teen movies I have ever seen. It is so bad.
Avoid this movie unless your life and time is meaningless to you.

Trainspotting on acid cracking film if this is your thing
Good fun if you are into black humour. On a par with '8 heads in a duffel bag'.
Good laugh.
quite interesting some funny parts definitely worth a look. Taryn Manning is excellent as are the two lead men.
Ok,i personally didn't think it was a true comedy in sense of AIRPLANE,CADDYSHACK etc,but it had a great storyline, some good funny moments and overall kept you watching until the end.
Some people get in over there heads in debt and there friend ods on drugs.Basically some satanic cult is after her thinking she's enherited the devil.Thats all i'm saying, but needless to say its got a good story, great acting, and is sometimes funny.
Watch it,especially if you liked SHOPPING,THE CRAFT,etc.
Now this film i can get into. Its an absolute winner. great great great.
Its got everything you need from a druggy movie... comedy, storie and of corse the weird stuff that can happen when your high.
But what i found even more magical was the cinimatography and the music.
It really is a film to watch and watch again...... up there with dazed and confused!
5 stars.. (and is about time i watch a good film as the last 100 have been poor)
mookstar*
