    [Highly rated reviewer]

Illustrates what happens when countries go into foreign wars and don't the cost, Kristofferson plays Jake Robbins a Lt in the US Air Force who gets shot down over Cambodia, escapes from a POW camp and is taken in by a mountain tribes people, finds a new wife and has 2 children over 13 years, and then after escaping to Thailand and back to US authorities finds his wife and son are still alive behind in their quiet suburban life, some choices to make about the fact he is not dead, a good film, sentimental yes, but opens up many questions about having 2 lives, one in Far East, one back home, enjoyable family drama, with a good ending.

Sorry, but I hated this. Sentimental, American garbage of the worst kind.
