A curate's egg
By TheMovieman (32 reviews) from Ramsbottom , 07 Jul 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
This had the potential to be a really funny movie. The result is some rather weak set ups but some well executed slapstick comedy. Worth watching.- Was this review helpful to you?

(154)Bit of a clone but still funny
By brokenking (255 reviews) from Bristol , 14 Dec 2011'Welcome to Colinwood' has obvious parallels to the Coen brother's output in terms of oddball characters in a distinct setting. It is to the credit of the filmmakers that these similarities aid the story and don't give the audience a massive case deja vu. Yes, you probably have seen it all before, you'll learn who the characters are fast, you'll know where they're going and you'll know how it all ends. That's not always a bad thing and in this case it isn't.
Just sit back and enjoy the movie there is plenty to appreciate; the funny characters, the fitting dialogue and listening to their pie in the sky dreams.- Was this review helpful to you?

OH MY GOD!!
By BigRoddy (5 reviews) , 31 May 2011This is appalling.
Though in fairness I turned it off, the 10-15 minutes I watched though...
'he needs a Malinski?'
'$2500'
'He SAYS its his Bilini...'
'he needs a Malinski?'
'$2000'
'He says its HIS Bilini'
'he NEEDS a Malinski'
'$1500'
'Yeah, a lifer gave it up'
'he says its his BILINI'
etc...
With a red hot script like that I can see why Clooney jumped at the chance to be on the Poster and in the trailer. I wonder if he's in the actual film?- Was this review helpful to you?

Boring....
By Dot2 (165 reviews) from Leicestershire , 18 May 2011I lasted less than 10minutes, so it got switched off and I watched Jamie Oliver on TV instead - much more riveting!.- Was this review helpful to you?

It was okay but not great.
By a customer , 05 May 2011I expected to LMAO at this film but merely chuckled a couple of times. The jokes were not good nor the scenes particularly funny but it was amusing enough all the same. A pleasant afternoon was had.
As one reviewer said they sold this film on George Clooney and he was only in it briefly. Very disappointing.- Was this review helpful to you?

Dreadful Movie
By BigDes (111 reviews) from Uckfield , 08 Jan 2011With the cast involved I expected much more. Very poorly directed. Why Clooney got involved ia nyones guess.
