(18)The usual boring format.
By FilmFan59 (43 reviews) from Mitcham , 17 Jul 2011[Highly rated reviewer]
Hollywood throws out the same tired format for comedians who have bills to pay, simple or non existent storyline of adverseries fighting each other to get the upper hand. Bad jokes, very few laughs, tired storyline.
If you are looking to past the time of day this will work.- Was this review helpful to you?

Light hearted but a bit boring
By a customer from Wirral , 02 Dec 2010Ok if you want a bit of light hearted entertainment like what you would get out of an early 2000's attempt at comedy - not enough to keep you hooked but good enough if you don't want to have to work at a film.- Was this review helpful to you?

A Late-80's Almost-Comedy
By BigMeUp (281 reviews) from Midlands, UK , 06 Dec 2009Yes, I know the film was made in 2001! But the look and feel of it is from the latter part of the 1980s, from which I do not mean to draw any inference about its value as a piece of entertainment. I merely state an obvious fact. Martin Lawrence, as usual, fails to deliver a compelling appearance; and having him constantly breaking out into those stupid dance-moves all black-American actors (with the exception of Washington and Freeman, thank God) feel it incumbent to so do when in front of a camera merely serves to exacerbate Lawrence-phobia. So, if one can overlook this film's unfortunate encumbrance - having a nearly-unwatchable lead actor - then one can begin to enjoy the usual cynical antics of DeVito and Mac, both of whom put in delightful turns. The plot is fantastical and thin; the final denouement can be seen from a long way off. Not a great movie by any means.- Was this review helpful to you?
