I saw this lovingly crafted tribute to the golden age of 'screwball' comedies when originally released in the early 70s, and in common with the rest of the cinema audience, almost literally fell about laughing. Streisand and O'Neal deliver (for me) their best screen performances, and a supporting cast which includes the likes of Kenneth Mars and the sublime Madeline Kahn is simply outstanding. I last saw it around 1980, so I don't know how good it will look to today's audiences, but my goodness, I have fond memories, and look forward to having another chance to see it!
