Richard Dreyfuss and Bill Murray make a dynamic comedy duo in this amiably manic satire on the therapy business directed by ex-Muppeteer Frank Oz. Murray is especially funny as the annoying multi-phobic patient who follows psychiatrist Dreyfuss on holiday and totally ruins his control-freak life. His carefree schizo slobbishness versus Dreyfuss's Freudian posing makes for a great contrast, and the frenzied laughs come thick and fast without losing their welcome sharp edge or delightfully twisted compassion.

If you don't need therapy when it starts...

I'm a big fan of Richard Dreyfuss - he's a brilliant actor. I'm not a big fan of Bill Murray, although this one is from the days when he did make an effort rather than sleepwalking through the movie. The irritation factor in this film is high - I'm with Drefuss on this one - I wanted to kill Murray's character more than he did by the end.

    Comedy Great

Richard Dreyfuss is a class act but he is no competion for this classic Bill Murray performance. This film really works because the two leads are just perfect in their roles. If you like either of these actors then you should really love this film. There are too many belly laughs to write down here just rent it out and wet your knickers laughing. If Bill Murray had not been in Rushmore this would have been his best film.
