For Christ sake just check the children!By Clucky from Cardiff, Wales , 11 May 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]The opening sequence of a young woman alone at home being harassed by a sinister telephone caller will probably be associated by most movie goers with the 90?s film Scream but that scene was inspired by the beginning of the above title.
However, the opening is probably the only memorable part of the film, which lags somewhat in the middle and suffers visually from a very poor film stock. That said it does pick up in the last 10 minutes or so and will probably serve has a passable film for fans of 70s Horror. 3 out of 5.

dreadfulBy a customer from wiltshire uk , 27 Sep 2005This film is so poorly made it makes you wonder why they bothered at all. The storyline would have been excellent if this wasn't such a low budget film. I have seen films made ten years earlier that would have put this one to shame. Everything in it grates on your nerves rather that make you edgy. Like the old tinny telephone constantly ringing in the first quarter of an hour, shabby scenery and most of it is so dark you have a job to make things out. Like i said good storyline, badly depicted
DatedBy Allen Page from Ashford, Kent, England , 16 Apr 2005Made in 1979 but showing its age more than most. Storyline is OK and it's watchable, but only just.
better left....By a customer from Stevenage , 16 Mar 2005Better left to your memory, this one!
I remember it as being one of the most talked about horrors of yore, but in this modern age it seems decicedly dated. The story is strung out for too long, and the suspense is far too drawn out. If you liked this when it was released, remember it for what it was, not what it is now!
fantastic opening sequenceBy a customer from East Sussex, England , 27 Jan 2005.....will have you on the edge of your seat. Unfortunately the rest of the film doesn't quite live up to that sensational opener, however it is worth watching!!!!
Too much plot converstionBy antb16 from Cambridgeshire , 24 Jan 2005This movie opens up with a scary old fashioned scare, but then all of sudden this movie takes a whole new turn, you simply find out who the killer is and you follow the rest of the film through everyones point of view. Then half way through you're totally confused aswell as bored, and the end doesn't make up for the middle bit aswell.
Skip this title if you're looking for a good scare.
